Manchester's Shine North first opened for business in 2006, with the production of factual entertainment series Sex...With Mum and Dad for BBC THREE, the format went on to be produced by MTV USA and a second series airs in the US in February 2009.Shine North had great success in 2008 with factual series Banged Up (FIVE) which featured the RT Hon David Blunkett MP. Our success in factual formats has been equalled by our studio entertainment formats Greatest Britons 2007 and Britain’s Best 2008 (ITV 1), What Are You Like? (BBC TWO), Battle of the Brains (BBC TWO), The What in the World Quiz (FIVE) and Playing the Part (BBC ONE) a new factual entertainment show transmitting in March featuring Denise Welch.
With a host of successful formats already under our belt and with a number of projects in development for both UK, European and US broadcasters, Shine North continues to deliver shows with a commitment to generating ambitious, bold ideas of the highest quality entertainment.
