History Cold Case is a new series for BBC2. Each episode re-opens a different historical cold case with an intriguing mystery to solve. Remarkable stories of everyday people from distant ages are painstakingly reconstructed, along with their faces, which haven't been seen for hundreds, or in some cases, thousands of years. One of the skeletons to get the History Cold Case treatment is a bizarre mummy, recently found in a cellar in Wales. The team will work out who this tiny body belonged to and why they ended up mummified. Each forensic case opens a different window on British history and takes us deep into gripping personal tales that we've never heard before.
